I want allowed me to share monitors between two computers and choose which one uses it

You're looking for a KVM switch.

As everyone else have mentioned, those devices do exist and they're called KVMs. I use one myself personally but I will only recommend it for switching your mouse and keyboard between systems. Most inexpensive KVMs are VGA only. The only other option are HDMI ones and they can get really expensive or are limited supported resolution/ refresh rates. KVMs with DP or DVI don't really exist. 

 

My recommendation is to get a cheap one that supports VGA, and just use the monitor to control your video input between the two devices (that is assuming your monitor supports more than one input). It's not a one button solution, but I think it's a worthy tradeoff if you have a high refresh rate monitor or need something like 10-bit colour. KVMs most certainly will not support these.

I use a Trendnet one. Rather inexpensive, around 30 bucks or so. Like my recommendation, I don't use the VGA capability, just the USB hub.
