LAME!

half the attraction to the build log was that you were water cooling a shuttle :|

I know, i'm sorry mate.

I need to sell the 240L and Q9550 to try recover some cost for the new one. You can't buy a 240L, H220/320 in Australia so it should move quickly.

Wow this guy^ that is a lot of scrolling on a mobile.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ;(( What happened ? (what was the reason for the overheating ? )

It wasn't overheating, I've done something to the motherboard. I checked the CPU in another system and it's fine. When I put in here no POST and it just power cycles every 3 seconds.

Checked the socket?

Goodnight, old goat.

You will be missed, but you will not be forgotten!

(tune of amazing grace begins in the background)

You had your problems, rough edges & burrs,

But you stuck through them, loyal to the end.

Though this build is lost, our hearts will move on,

As time heals, and your memory lives on.

Not all will be lost, for some can be saved,

a 750 ti, and a Core 2 quad for memory's sake.

We shall never forget the love this 775 shuttle,

has sought between us dukes and dames.

And through times test, this brotherhood will stay.

(walks off the stage, a single manly tear rolls down my cheek as the tune comes to an end)

What exactly do you mean? the socket on the mobo looks visually fine, reseated CPU and still the same.

what exactly happened? why do you suspect it's bricked?

Edit:

May be a stupid question but do you ave a fan plugged into the CPU fan header? Most newer boards won't boot with out a fan plugged into the header

current build and total cost   http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/150083-thrift-shop-build/

I apologize for my crappy English I'm American

Yes I do have a fan plugged in, but this is far from a new board ;)

The claim that most new boards wont boot without a fan plugged in is completely false though. How do you think all these watercooled builds boot hmmm?
