Is Seagate Backup Plus Hub worth it?

InfraDelta

I want to backup my whole system, is getting an external hdd/ an internal hdd with enclosure/dock better than getting Seagate Backup Plus hub?
I am going to move roughly 3-4TB of data onto it, and if there is extra space, will use as a backup for my system daily/weekly.

Id just get a normal external hdd, no reason to buy a special model. For 8tb+ drives, id try to go wd as there not smr, and can be many times faster for making backups.

The benefit of using an external HDD is that you can make backups and then unplug the drive from your system (backups won't be affected by ransomware/malware while the external drive is disconnected). Unless the Seagate Backup Plus Hub is cheaper than other options, get the cheaper option from either an internal HDD paired with a SATA to USB 3.0 enclosure/dock or an external HDD.

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,
