Pop!_OS on external SSD

Pop!_OS install bootloader on external SSD or on any other disk? I'm asking because you can't choose bootloader at installation like in Ubuntu and others.

Does Linux affect any other disks (partitions)? Last time i was not be able to install Windows 11 on internal NVMe first time. Linux installed on external SSD. I had so many partitions instead one partition for each disk in GParted in Linux.

Can't say for PopOS as their installation method is unusual but for the majority of Linux distros they shouldn't change anything that you do not tell them to.  Does the Pop installer let you choose the disk it installs to?  If so then I expect it would just install to that disk and leave the others alone.
