Do you find it weird there wasn't a video today about Windows 11?

Microsoft did a big song and dance unveiling Windows 11...and LMG didn't do a quick reaction video to it.  Judging by my youtube suggestions...none of the big guys did.

Apple did a similiar presentation the other week, and everyone jumped to do their version of coverage, just going over the points of the presentation, despite not even having a leaked beta of it.

 

That's weird, right?  Like, I get Apple has a "culture" around it (I'm a 40 year apple user, I'm there) and Microsoft's image is more boring...but they're still the big company in the field, and Windows, the leader...just would seem it'd be more...newsworthy, to me.

 

(And I grant this is just from my limitied pov, following very few tech channels, so maybe it was wider covered...but still, nothing from LMG to catch the early clicks)

Everybody already did a reaction to Windows 11 when a build was leaked a few days ago. Why bother rehashing that just because the announcement is now official?

People seem to have very short memories. XP was garbage when it first released. After years an years updates, it was a decent OS. Then Win7 came and everyone was like Win7 is such garbage, I want my XP back. After years and years of updates Win7 was decent, and people complain that Win10 sucks.

 

If anything, things are improving with each OS release over time. Win10 had its issues for sure, but it was far more stable at release than XP or Win7 was. This is how things work. New OSes take time to mature. It makes no sense to judge a brand new OS based on how stable the previous version is after like 7 years.
