From what i know, i dont think so because this is a new pc from NZXT and i believe they update the bios? With their BLD support. I am a bit worried about messing with really anything with the bios. This mobo originally completely FRIED out when they sent me it after two weeks, they replaced this mobo with a fresh new same one, works fine but if i enable xmp i can not get a boot at all. So i am thinking its a slight booting issue with my mobo. Again, if i hard restart the pc it works COMPLETELY fine.. like its some booting issue?

thank you so much for your reply!!

I dont think its really TOO much to worry about but it just worries me when it happens that it could just stay that way everytime i boot it up. =(

Well, I'd still check the BIOS updates but I understand why you don't feel like "messing" with the BIOS. But why not just ask NZXT for support?

Ah right, I see. Well, XMP is not garanteed. XMP is overclocking. Some system(CPU's), though very rarely, can't run with XMP profiles.

Silicon lottery - it's a bitch sometimes

Understood, to this issue i will look into my bios version today and look to see what the current bios is. There are some tools gigabyte offers like “@bios” to flash through windows O.S to update it though i fear updating a bios in anyway that would seem to be my best option than doing it manually. As of RIGHT now it doesnt seem to be to big of an issue i guess it happened a week or two ago and then did it tonight before i started gaming but all ran fine so im not overly concerned just didn’t know if it was a common problem along with anyone else. Many people i know have some random issues with booting like fans running at max speed, they restart and all is fine, sometimes my friends monitor doesnt display, etc. mobo’s are weird and i am NOT. I repeat NOT, a fan of GIGABYTE.

for now i will look into my current bios, and just let this issue “be” and hope it doesnt really cause any MAJOR issue. thank you sooo much for the help.

cheers.

I mean, I have heard of newer BIOS versions making a system stable with different types of overclocking. So yeah I mean, if I had your PC, and there's a newer BIOS, I'd still try it and see if it would make XMP stable. You never know. 🙂

Just because I'm curious - does your friends also have Gigabyte motherboards?
