Can i use filtered water for a pc water loop

Note: the filter at home filters water that it doesnt have any minerals in it

You can, but you need to use additives to kill anything organic that could grow in there.

You mean concentrate to mix it? 

 

But tbh just get distilled water to be safe. Its not that expensive

yes you can use tap water but there will still be crap in it no matter how well its filtered or even RO water still has stuff in it. The only way to get pure water is to distill it. drinking distilled water is perfectly safe however it should not be consumed as a water replacement because your body needs the minerals and stuff in the water.

 

If you do use your tap water id suggest mixing the biocide a little stronger than manufacture specs so it can kill off any crap that tries to grow in there. 

Seriously though a gallon of distilled water is $0.85 just go grab a bottle from the grocery store for piece of mind.

Don't they sell pure PC coolant that's nonconductive?

Yeah its just distilled water with a anti-growth agent it it for clear and colored just has dye but its just distilled water as the base.
