Will my components have an issue with the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini Case?

Go to solution Solved by brob,

Will not fit. In these cases the psu mounts on its side behind the motherboard. In such a compact space there is little unused space elsewhere in the case. Besides, if you are going to spend that sort of money on a case, why would you want to start with a frankenstein?

Hey so I was fed up with my current thermaltake case and wnted to get something more accessible and developed/designed by actual engineers.

The Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini was suggested and looking at it makes me melt.

Sadly, if I'm not mistaken, my current PSU (component list bottom) will cause problems, isn't it? I am still quite confused about PSU form factors, SFX, Mini SFX etc...

Maybe you might even find other components that won't fit.

Desired Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini white

Components: r5 1600 with stock cooler, 2060 asus, msi b350 pc mate, corsair cx 550M

The dynamic mini requires an sfx psu. SFX is a smaller form factor than ATX. You would have to get a new psu.

There is the PC-O11 Dynamic and PC-O11 Air. They use the same basic design but are a little larger and can accommodate an ATX psu.

Thanks, about SFX and O11 MINI. Are we talking about my psu not fitting physically at all or perhaps a  janky "just diy leave it hanging/not mounted" type of possibility?

SFX on the left, ATX on the right.

Damnit, well I guess it's time for a new PSU then. The issue with a new psu is that the case costs 100+$/£/€, and on top of that a new PSU, which will most likely cost 80-100$/£/€. 200 just for a new/better case is not really awesome.

What do you mean by frankenstein in terms of Case/PCs? Do you mean the DIY PSU mount question?

Picture (literally) perfect.

That's quite a shrinkage.

My brain thought naturally if a 2060 can fit in there, then that PSU will just snug in fine. But that puts it quite into perspective.

SFX PSUs cost a bit more than ATX. There's a lot packed into them.

You might be better off just going for the normal size 011. 170 Euro on amazon.it vs a PSU that is close to that in cost and the case.

Not to get too confusing, but there is also a SFX-L which the 011 mini will fit.

It'll be same dimensions on the front as a SFX, but longer.

Hi, thanks for the info.

Yeah I just looked around. Honestly I will just accept the little bit bigger size for compatibility. Its actually just 20$/€ more than the mini.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks everyone.

There are things I don't like about it. I/O cables are too long. It almost feels too "cheap" for the price. But thermals, even with the 5800x are good. Top can't be removed with thumb screws unless you add them. It comes with normal screws. If you're adamant on going with a smaller case, there's this one.
