I'm planning to update my motherboard's bios system.

I haven't updated my bios since I bought it 4 years ago, so I check how to update it, and now I decided to update it today.

I search my motherboard's model and go to the manufacturers website and check the updates.

I don't know if I need to download them all, and I don't know if the latest update is safe because it says 'beta version'.
Please I need your help guys, thanks in advance.

motherboard model: msi B350M PRO-VDH

7A38vAH is the newest that's advisable... BUT; read through the list to make sure you do any mandatory intermediate steps correctly.

Can I realistically call myself a gamer, if I only play ONE, twenty year old game...?

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

All you need is the latest stable. Don't install beta versions unless there's an issue you're having that that specifically addresses, and even then, I wouldn't do it unless your board has flashback.

In that regard, as well, if your board doesn't have flashback, you should have it on a battery backup UPS, before you flash a BIOS update. You'll likely be fine, regardless, but Murphy's Law says that you'll have a power outage right in the middle of the update and brick your board. If the board has flashback, you can always redo the update, though.

No harm in preemptive strikes...

My computer keeps on freezing and restarting, I thought it might be the issue.

I already check my ram, ssd, hdd, and their in good condition. Also I already updated the drivers in my pc, except the bios, so I thought it might be the problem.

I wouldn't go "beta" with drivers/BIOS, use the latest stable for everything.

TBH from mobo manufacturers stable/beta is often meaningless. Some boards have nothing "stable" that is anywhere near current, and... recently someone here updated to the latest "stable" and it had broken support for his CPU, needed to flash either an older one or the latest beta for it to work...
