Wow, who would've thought a industry titan would've taken a rational and reasonable approach to the situation. 

 

Inb4 people start calling Carmack a shill. This man has enough money to do whatever he wants. He can get up and leave and not give a damn about the consequences. I trust his judgement a hell of a lot more than most "experts" on the internet.

I wouldn't call it "supporting" it but more like typical Carmack "I couldn't give less of a fuck" attitude towards it. If or when they cut funding to some of the stuff he's working on he'll change his tune quickly enough.

Just finished reading it and I don't call that "supporting". He seems to have more of a neutral stand.

Which is what everyone should have taken...its not big deal.
