You should be able to add the game to Steam as a non-Steam game then launch it trough the big picture mode

I've used it in the past and it's been fine, but I'd just prefer not to use any extra software if possible.

 

After a number of hours of effort, and a lot of frustration, I got the DualSense controller to work wirelessly with Battlefront 2 without DS4.  I'm not sure what I finally did to make it work, but I know it works opening the game from regular Steam and not from big picture mode.

it should b easy. add game (exe) to Steam, have the origin launcher running (obviously) start game

 

 

it might be more difficult than that, but it should work,  thats how i played FF online through Steam , with the Square Enix launcher, game *not* bought from Steam.

you dont need to use big picture mode at all for this. i hate the thing with a passion,i exclusively use small mode

Yeah, I eventually got it to work without using big picture mode.  I hate it too.  A Resident Evil fan.  Good.
