  1. Budget (including currency): $1,600 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: World of Warcraft and others Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm trying to help my friend find a pre-built and he's under the impression he should buy one from Amazon, which I believe are overpriced and don't tell you the model of any of the components except the CPU. So I'm trying to steer him away from that.
  2. Thanks. Any idea how to enable DLSS in Village? I don’t see it in the game’s settings.
  3. Title. Is it game specific? Can I use it in Resident Evil games and Star Wars Battlefront II?
  4. This is what you want you. System > Other Settings > Input Auto Switch > Off It’s still annoying because the monitor might take over 25 seconds to switch from DP to HDMI. I find this inexcusable in a high-end 2021 monitor. I’ve been switching from PC (DP) to console (HDMI) on different monitors for several years and it always takes maybe five seconds at this most. At least it works, I guess.
  5. I figured out a solution. In the settings, turn off auto input switch. I think that’s what it’s called.
  6. I have my PC connected via DP and my PS5 connected to HDMI 1. I can’t switch to HDMI 1 when the PC is on. If I shut down the PC, the monitor switches to HDMI 1 and the PS5 is displayed on the screen. If the PC is on and I try to switch to HDMI 1, the screen goes black for a few seconds and just switches back to DP. This is very frustrating.
  7. Then let me phrase my question like this: If I play the digital version of the game on my Series X on my friend’s account, will he then be able to use that saved data and keep the stuff I unlocked to play with the disc version of the game on his Xbox One? I hope I worded that coherently.
  8. I bought and downloaded the Series X version of Resident Evil Village, but I need to be able to play the Xbox One version. I’m planning to log into a friend’s account and help him with some stuff in the game, and he only has Xbox One with the disc version of the game. On PS5, you can easily choose which version of a game you want to play, but I’m not seeing an option to do that on Xbox Series X. Does it even give me the Xbox One version when I buy the Series X version digitally? And how do I play it?
  9. I do know that my SSD is PCIe 4.0, which makes it (I think) about twice as fast as PCIe 3.0. I knew MB and Mb were different, but I didn’t know how different. And I thought the same unit of measurement was used for the speed you see on speedtest.net and your download speeds. I’m also glad I learned this today. I was really bothered about my download speed for a long time, and it’s nice to know I’m not getting ripped off (too much).
  10. Fascinating. I was convinced for years that my downloads were upwards to 10 times slower than they should be and I just had to deal with it. I guess I never understood the difference between a megabyte and a megabit.
  11. I’m getting about 75 MB/s in this video (not sure if you can see it). So that’s fairly appropriate for my advertised speeds? IMG_7951.MOV
  12. I pay for the fastest internet available in my area, which is unfortunately through Spectrum. My speedtest.net test suggests that my connection speed is fine, but my actual download speeds are significantly slower than they should be. I hover between 50 and 90 Mbps on Steam and about 30 to 50 Mbps on PS5 and Xbox with a wired connection. I've had Spectrum for a very long time and I've never been close to advertised speeds. I've grown very frustrated with this and I want to fix it. https://gyazo.com/bc36f581db3dd92d8248c6d2eadaef52
