  1. I just don’t know what’s going on. I can get over slow downloads of Steam games, but now I’m having another issue. I’m trying to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 on PC and I’m teleporting all over the place. Wired and WiFi. The in-game ping says 16. I’m not having this issue on a PS5 that’s very close to the PC.
  2. The PC downloads Steam game at a steady 50+ MB/s when wired. Does that mean there’s something wrong with the WiFi? Unfortunately, I can’t keep it wired.
  3. I just had Spectrum's 400 Mbps service installed yesterday. I tested it (wired) by downloading a PS5 game and it was consistently around 50 MB/s. I was pleased with that. Now, I'm using my PC on Wi-Fi, about 10 feet from the router. I'm trying to download a Steam game. The download starts off around 40 MB/s and then gradually decreases for the next few moments, until it eventually hovers in the 10 MB/s range. This is infuriating.
  4. Yes. Are you able to control volume via keyboard in Resident Evil games?
  5. Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll give them a try.
  6. This is Resident Evil HD Remaster. I have a 4K monitor. The highest resolution setting in the game is 2560x1600, so I’m using that. When I’m in full screen, I get black bars around the entire game.
  7. I have a Corsair K100 RGB keyboard. It has a volume scroll wheel. I’d really love to be able to use this while playing games, but it doesn’t work while any games are running unless I alt+tab. Is this how it’s supposed to be? Are you just not allowed to control the volume while playing Steam games? EDIT: This seems to be an issue only in Resident Evil games.
  8. Incorrect. The final value fee paid to eBay by the seller is a percentage of the total amount paid by the buyer. The total amount paid by the buyer encompasses the item price, shipping cost, and sales tax. Example: I sell a $10 item and charge $5 shipping (I’ll just say sales tax is $1). The buyer pays a total of $16. I pay eBay roughly 12% of $16 as my final value fee.
  9. I’d wager you’re correct. However, let’s say the more expensive model was Ice Lake and the cheaper one was Tiger Lake… Can you understand why I might feel the price difference doesn’t make sense?
  10. I mistakenly said in the original post that the first model is $50 more than the second. I meant to say it’s $50 less than the second. I’m confused by this because the first one appears to be the better model.
  11. I don’t have an issue with anything. I’m just trying to figure out if there’s a mistake in the specs.
  12. When I clicked specs and scrolled down to CPU it said Ice Lake. I’m confused as to why the Ice Lake one is more expensive. Could it just be the black body like the other guy said?
  13. I see. I think the specs are just listed wrong, because they both say 11th gen even though one is Ice Lake.

I think the specs are exactly the same. The CPUs have the same name, but the cheaper one says it’s Tiger Lake and the
  15. Really hard. EDIT: It’s 100 mbps and I think it’s acceptable when wired, but that really isn’t an option. I can’t move the locations of any devices, but I could add an additional service with a new modem/router next to my consoles/PC.
  16. Any idea what delivery methods AT&T and Spectrum use? I believe Spectrum uses cable, but I don’t know about AT&T.
  17. I know it’s a little odd, but so is my mom. She doesn’t listen to reason (outright switching to Spectrum). Upgrading her current service is unfortunately not an option, because it’s already the fastest AT&T offers in the area. I’m not a fan of Spectrum, but they do offer gigabit internet in the area. I have it at my place and I’m pleased with it.
  18. I visit my mom sometimes and she has a cheap AT&T plan at her house. I want to be able to play online video games when I’m there but it’s just not feasible with her shitty WiFi connection. Could I add Spectrum service at her house without interfering with her AT&T service? The location where I’d want the modem/router is only about five feet from outside, so would it be easy for Spectrum to install a new line?
  19. Budget (including currency): $1,600 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: World of Warcraft and others Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm trying to help my friend find a pre-built and he's under the impression he should buy one from Amazon, which I believe are overpriced and don't tell you the model of any of the components except the CPU. So I'm trying to steer him away from that.
  20. Thanks. Any idea how to enable DLSS in Village? I don’t see it in the game’s settings.
  21. Title. Is it game specific? Can I use it in Resident Evil games and Star Wars Battlefront II?
  22. This is what you want you. System > Other Settings > Input Auto Switch > Off It’s still annoying because the monitor might take over 25 seconds to switch from DP to HDMI. I find this inexcusable in a high-end 2021 monitor. I’ve been switching from PC (DP) to console (HDMI) on different monitors for several years and it always takes maybe five seconds at this most. At least it works, I guess.
