My girlfirend and I are making a computer from scratch for her and we need some feedback.

Budget (900-950 dollars)

Country: Sweden

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: We want it to run programs sutch as: Photoshop and illustrator aswell as games like valorant. Her budget is about 900-950 dollars so we need to shave away some of the price.

Other details: We are building it from scratch and would like to buy everything within 2 months from now. 1080p would be desireble and the refresh rate, as long as it's 60fps is fine.

Here is the parts list on pc picker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DGxPW3   (The prices who are mannualy picked are deals we've found on swedish sites.)

Thank you for your help, it means the world.

A few things I think is you could probably get a B550 board that's full ATX and maybe 1660 super or something that way for future proofing

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

I beleive even just recently lmg had a video recommending you get a b 450 board even on a budget build so maybe look into that.

Also right now is a terrible time to be gpu shopping and of course the 1650 4gb at 270$ isn't a very good deal . I know you mentioned only needing 1080 at 60 which it can do in lower end titles but Larger AAA games will be much harder on a gpu like that. You really won't see 270$ worth of performance out of it.

Where are you planning to get a gtx 1650? They are all super overpriced, assuming you magically  manage to get one for that price, this is my build for you guys

The stock cooler of the 3600 is similar in performance to the one you chose

I got a motherboard with the better b550 chipset

cheaper ram

and a higher wattage power supply

and an ssd which is almost the exact same (a little bit faster) but is considerably cheaper

Good build overall. The PSU is overpriced and I recommend a Full-ATX motherboard for looks.

That PSU seems normal priced to me

I'm certain the Ryzen 5 3600 includes a HSF in the box (Wraith Stealth). So you can ditch the Pure Rock and save $35

As @Downkeymentioned, PCPartPicker has a region select available.

Pricing from say... Amazon US can vary from Amazon SE ( and in my situation, Amazon Canada).

I'd replace the A520 chipset based motherboard with either a B450 or B550 variant.

Also, since you are looking at an ATX sized case, it doesn't make sense to get a ITX motherboard.

You pay price premium for ITX form factor (usually), and limit your future upgrade / expansion options -- and also A LOT hard to assemble because everything is so tightly packed. Go with either mATX or ATX.

Something like:

Computer case wise, one with a open mesh front (i.e. good airflow) is recommended.

The Deepcool Gamer Storm has a completely solid panel at the front; ventilation / airflow is not going to be great...

In that similar price point, I'd get the Fractal Design Focus G in white color.

Thank you for the help! I have a question though. After seeing what others have said i get the feeling mby going for the GTX 1650 is not the right move. I've found some other cards, would you recomend any of them instead?

The first one costs 303 dollars

The other ones cost 280 dollars.

the 1650 Super is surprisingly a lot faster than the 1650 alone, Around a 30% performance difference

11400F is better for photoshop and gaming and basically anything compared to 3600 as well as being cheaper, I'd go for that instead. Choose any 1650 Super or 1660 Super I'd say.

Current System: Ryzen 7 3700X, Noctua NH L12 Ghost S1 Edition, 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, MAG B550i Gaming Edge, 1TB WD SN550 NVME, SF750, RTX 3080 Founders Edition, Louqe Ghost S1

So if i got this right, for less money, we can get higher preformance? Seems like a good deal to me.

They are all 1650 Supers, I'd just get the cheapest one tbh.
