Its a community. People voice opinions. Its all good.

When that board was released it was a very sought after monster. Probably still is. I'd rock it. F the chipset fan. You won't hear it over all the rad fans anyways.

You are right, and I know I was wrong in my post. But the guy came in to show off his new toy 🙂

I think the board is sweet, I should have ignored the comment..

Well whatever.. I was still an Ass, sorry. I've been a little moody lately. Gotta get out, haven't been to work in 5 months and its starting to show. I'm not really a douche, but I have my moments I reckon.

I was tired and it was the thing that first caught my eye.

I didn't bother saying I don't see the point in sinking money in such old tech. That would have been rude, and yet, my opinion, which the forum is here for people to express. Just because you don't happen to agree with it doesn't make it wrong. You'll also note that I said I hate these things. I never said he shouldn't have done it.

Haha, yeah it's not so much the noise as it is the fact they're far more likely to fail, and it's just an added thing that can go wrong. Plus it's not as easy as replacing a fan in say a tower or on a CPU cooler. Neat looking board, but every time I see a board mounted fan I cringe.

Big chipset needs big cooling 🙂

Although some chipsets do overclock well warmer and some cooler. Usually cooler. Like most processing devices.

But agreed, more parts = more problems.

Mmmm. I dno. None of Intel's chipsets need them, and people are always complaining about Intel power draw 😉

I think it was just poor, lazy design. Watch their next one not have one, even though it has the same capabilities.

Also, look at B550. The differences aren't that large.

It's the misconception that a wattage number correlates to wattage (volt+amp) used opposed to it's thermal wattage which you can convert to BTU.

If the chipset is 15w or higher (X570), then you may just see a fan on that chipset heatsink.

Sorry again, I feel terrible. Another dick move by moi.. at least I can offer my sincerest apologies 🙂

As for my weight.. lol I did actually gain a little and lost a little.. about 10lbs worth.. so I traded some muscle for fat. Starting today I am getting more fresh air and moving around more now that I wont freeze to death walking across the tundra.. I almost put on shorts today lol.

Edit:

My legs are as white as snow which is why I didn't..

Haha, I really wouldn't worry about it, I certainly didn't 😛

Lucky. I gained 50, lost 30 gained 40, and now I'm back at about 25 lost...still about 20ish lbs to go. Once I start hitting the weights again it'll go back up though so. Who knows 🤷‍♂️ I'm currently both the smallest and largest I've ever been (well, working my way down from).
