Original Canon 1DX vs Canon 5D mk. III

On my local craigslist there's two listings, one for a 5D mk. III for $850, just the body, and one for a 1DX for $850, also just the body.

If I was thinking about buying a camera and had both of these options, is any one of them better than the other in any noticable way? I'm mainly focused on picture quality more than anything else, mainly low-light shooting. I know the 1DX is most likely gonna have plenty of extra features that the 5D won't have, but will it have the picture quality of the 5D on it's 3rd generation?

The image quality is gonna be pretty similar, you probably wouldn't notice the difference. Id probably go 5d for the higher megapixels, and smaller size. Those 1dx's are pretty big and heavy.

 

Also check used quality on the units and shutter count, you don't want a camera that will dies in a month.

I'd go 5Dmk3 but also look for maybe XT-3 or Sony A7II

I had a 5dmk3. It was a good camera. Unless you need the speed of the 1Dx, I'd go with the 5dmk3.
