Is there an app for CPU fan curve?

if your room temp is higher that would make since too.

it would appear that my case fan and cpu fan were in each others headers, my cpu fan is now spinning at it's intended speed

I tried going into the bios to set it after i saw over 90 degree temps but i couldnt do anything with the useless acer bios.

There's a program called FanControl on this forum that I've had success with, but I don't know if it works on OEM motherboards.

Speedfan, assuming your board OEM doesn't lock it out. Argus Monitor as well, but that costs money. Double check your thermal paste application and clean your PC.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Forget software, ensure your cooler has fresh thermal paste and is properly seated first.

90 degrees? Are your fans full speed? If yes your cooling is innapropriate, maybe bad thermal paste application or bad cooler overall/bad fan orientation, could you post your specs?

bad thermal paste application or bad cooler overall/bad fan orientation, what cooler are you using, are those temps at idle?

im not too sure what the cooler is, it's just the one that came with the pc, and no, 90 degrees is during heavy load, idle temps are 45-50

@Bimyselfyou need to do this, no software will change physically bad cooling

is it possible that it is my power supply that i just got that could be the cause? im not sure if i can send a pic of it here, its a cx650m mounted at the top

no, these temps are actually pretty acceptable if its during very heavy load on both cpu and gpu

the problem with this is that it used to be 83 degrees max unitl today

Thats the thing, the game is very demanding, these temps are decent enough, if your fans spin at full speed.

hmm ok

what rpm do your fans run at? or if you dont know is your pc louder during the load?

they do speed up under load, im not sure by how much

i can remove it to show the thermal paste later if you wish

In my opinion no, it should be helping even more because its used as an exhaust.

ill put the old one back in just to see if it helps

A proper CPU cooler would make all the difference in that situation, even a $25 tower cooler.

What is the rest of your setup like for intake and exhaust? I'm betting there isn't much ventilation going on.

i have a single 80mm exhaust fan, with a case with poor airflow lol

Wow, and you're wondering why your temps are bad.

With a modern case with proper 120mm intake fans + a $25 tower cooler you'd probably drop the CPU temps by 20c or more.

the case doesnt make a difference, it performs almost the same with the side panel off

That points EXACTLY to the weak CPU cooler as the problem.

Removing the side panel essentially eliminates airflow as the problem.

Side panel removed, and CPU temperature remains the same.

Plus, if case airflow is a problem, your GPU would be affected too, yet it's sitting at 56*C in your previous screenshot.

Again, not case airflow issue.

The stock cooler Acer used is inadequate, and Acer is NOT the only one who does this...
