Is it only me or does the G102 LightSync tracking feel different?

I was using the G102 Prodigy for more than 2years and recently switched to the G102 Lightsync after the former started double clicking. Immediately I noticed that the tracking at same dpi and polling rate felt a bit slower. Like the mouse cursor was moving a smaller distance across the screen compared to the G102 Prodigy and I had to move my wrist/hand more to reach the diagonal end of the screen on a 24" monitor. My settings were 1600dpi and 1000hz polling on both mice.

Maybe the mouse acceleration is on/off on one of the mice and not on the other.

G Hub doesn't show anything about mouse acceleration settings in either of the mice.

As far as I can read, some G102 mice had acceleration, but it's built into the firmware, so there is no much control over it.

Probably DPI deviation, you can either get used to it or measure the DPI of both of your mice and adjust your settings accordingly (using something like this https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/dpianalyzer/ or by measuring your sensitivity in a game in cm/inches).

Maybe you are right. Different sensor and different tracking. Also weight distribution is a bit different.

DPI deviation is a thing with all mice, even those that use the same sensor (or even are the exact same model). It's usually negligible, but you may have gotten unlucky with a copy that has particularly bad deviation. In my experience the weight distribution and sensor on the lightsync feel the exact same as the prodigy, or even the G Pro wired. The sensor on the lightsync is downgraded, since it can lose tracking when you move it very fast, but other than that, the sensors feel identical to me.
