Hard Crashing after addition of RTX 3080 Founders Edition

My PC has been hard crashing (power off, no warning) with certain games (listed below in Fig 1) after I added an RTX 3080 Founders Edition to my build. I have looked at windows logs, shown in Fig 2 below. They seem to indicate that it had something to do with Kernel Power. I was also concerned about temperature since the blower design of the RTX 3080 Founders Edition blows hot air straight at my CPU and also since the crashes are not consistent (sometimes I can play hours without a crash, other times games crash multiple times a night). Does anyone know if I can prove outright that these crashes are to do with my PSU?

I don't want to buy a new PSU unless I have to. My Current one is 750W which according to an online Wattage Calculator ( https://www.newegg.com/tools/power-supply-calculator/ ) should have enough power to drive what I have. I have included a list of my full Specs in Fig 3. I have also included things I have tried (unsuccessfully) in order to resolve the issue in Fig 4.

Thank you and let me know if you need any other information

I play loads of games, but it just seems to be these 4 which I have observed crashes in.

-Update NVIDIA Drivers and do fresh install of NVIDIA Drivers

-Fix fans to give optimum airflow

Sounds like your PSU isn't strong enough. Cause in LTT's video they talked about some huge power spikes with the 30 series cards.

Yeah Dude.  PSU. No question.  Try and borrow one to test if you can

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

Not hard to see where your problem is, a higher end 750 watt would also potentially have issues with a 3080. Since your crashes are inconsistent perhaps try power limiting the card with an overclocking utility to like 90% or something to see if that helps.

Thanks for the response guys!

What Wattage would you recommend going up to in order to avoid these crashes?

I'd go for at least an 850 or higher.

Wattage is only half the equation,  must be of decent quality and be able to deal with high 'transient spikes' as well.

Corsair RMX for example.  And yeah I'd go with 850w *minimum*

The direction tells you... the direction

Check this topic out.  I'd recommend nothing less than  tier A around 850w like the others have said

Thank you, I have started to bid on PSU of suitable wattage which are rated A on that list.
