I want to participate in the verified gamer thing to get a graphics card at MSRP...then sell it

i do not look forward to it.

The only solace I take is that since it's not free, and it's expensive, it'll mean there won't be nearly as many 12 year old kids posting about it.

Just the starry eyed dreamers thinking if they save up their allowances they'll be able to get one in 2 or 3 years.

 

Don't forget the "why did I get charged $xxx in duty?! LTT ripped me off!"

I think I would probably sell on anything I won, especially a GPU. I need money at the moment more than a GPU.

In this case I can’t even afford the MSRP so I’m out by default.

Oh wow!  How did I miss this thread?! It’s gold!  I’m reminded of an interview I watched once with a woman who had a company that made artificial rubies.  Her rubies would fluoresces under ultraviolet light so they could be identified as coming from that company.  Literally multiple times a day she wails get calls from people who thought they were clever attempting to get her to make the rubies without the fluorescing so they could pass them of as natural ones.  The woman remained polite. The phrase “how frickin stupid are you?!” Did not pass her lips.  She did eventually get her phone disconnected though.

If only people would listen and read. But in todays world, probably not gonna happen. Like going to YT and looking at times when videos are posted... is too hard when you really, really want something that requires you to do that. How will these kids get work if just doing such little research is too hard.
