Hello guys

I want to buy a rx 5700 xt from Alibaba for 400€ and my questions here are is the Rx 5700 xt still worth it in 2021 or should I wait for the rx 6700 xt but my fear is it that I don't get one is that fear entitled? Then I have another question should I trust Alibaba?

Geez 400€ for a 5700xt  that may or may not arrive intact is a lot to ask it's not a good value flat out. That class of card has been replaced but due to stock issues prices are broken. So if you can wait.

Seems super sketchy...

It's a good card but if you can wait then wait. I wouldn't pay more than $300 for it though

Please wait for the new cards to arrive. That is overprices and afaik, alibaba ships in bulk so you will have to buy 1000 units or something stupid like that. You can use Aliexpress for single units but even then I would not want to buy something as complex as a graphics card from that marketplace. You have absolutely no warranty whatsoever (it is china) and you will have to pay some hefty import fees, increasing the price to around 600. If you won't pay the import fees in time, the card gets send back and you have lost all your money.

That is very wrong, aliexpress has decent customer service,if you got scammed you'll get your money back easily.

I was referring to actual warranty claims, not being scammed.

Its closer to an used market like ebay rather than amazon or newegg, ofc its going to not give you warranty, especially considering they are so far away(in china)

Manufacturer warranties still exist, (and are entirely independent of any purchase warranty) and depending on the specific card, it could be nearing the end of the warranty period, or the 1/3rd mark.

Try your luck with AMD branded (NOT AIB's) RX 6700 XT to be launched on 18th March, though you'd up against scalpers and miners using bots. The AMD branded cards (made and packaged under AMD) would be sold at MSRP of 479USD, performance expected to be around RTX 3060 Ti - RTX 3070 range.

AMD, and its board partners (AIB's) will be launching the card simultaneously. Don't expect AIB cards from PowerColor/Sapphire/XFXMSI/Gigabyte/ASRock/etc to be priced at MSRP though (they'd be a fair bit higher than 479USD for AMD branded which are reference design cards).
