I like to listen to music. These Kraken Ultimates are sick when just playing cod. Should I look into a Focusrite Scarlett and a pricy set of headphones(w/ external mic)?

What kind of headphones do you like closed or open back?

I like "ported" enclosures in car audio. So I'm guessing open back, so the speaker is over all moving more free?

But I just really enjoy bass.

So would you recommend a audio interface for these to reach the max potential? Or would just plugging them into my motherboard be enough power for them(have an asrock steel legend B450M)?

As Sub68 said. You don't need one for those headphones. They are pretty easy to drive.

You like bass, you say? X2HR or Beyedynamic Tygr 300R might be awesome for you. Both are amazing for music, movies and gaming.

But the Tygr 300R is pretty hard to get if you're from the US, probably the covid bs is the reason for that.

Team Tygr comes with the mic if you ever need one but it doubles the price.

ZMF Aeolus has great bass and good treble without any hint of fatigue cheap shit will get you without careful component synergy. As for amplification, I would always recommend something instead of using the crap that comes with PC motherboards, even for gear that has low impedance and high sensitivity. The Echo from Feliks Audio is a very good start. I'd also recommend the Schiit Bifrost 2 to be used as source as I like mine quite a lot, but that would go beyond your budget by a bit.

You could. Or save a hundred or so on an interface + mic and just get a halfway decent USB mic like a Samson Q2U, which should blow away most integrated headset mics.
