Did Asus killed PG32UQX and replace it with PG32UQ?

Yes, because we all have the desk depth to put a 4 foot display on it.

Come on, man.  Folks that compare 4 foot displays with the 32" ones can't really be that dense.  Can they?

with the desk and distance i have, that's not an option, the picture quality does come close but 46-48inch on my desk...lol (even 32 was slightly too big, i tried not too long ago)

It's basically a buncha boxes that needs to be checked and the 32uqx might be the first to check all of it, no word yet on the fans though.

What are you looking for?  Whether it has one, or whether it's audible and annoying like some PG27UQs' are?

Hopefully the fald halo glow won't be as bad because it puts me off a bit

The size of the display wasn't really my point. My point is that you can get a better hdr display for a lot less

whether it has a bad one, easier to replace, or doesn't have one at all, tbh i'm not optimistic, we'll see

Well since no one has one, we don't know for sure.  But you can bet money it has a cooling fan given the GSync module in it.  Whether it's easy to replace/noisy/crappy/etc: we'll have to wait and see, as you say.

So these are the last two days of Q1 and nothing about the PG32UQ was revealed. Informations about the PG32UQX and the XG43UQ give me hope that a release still could be possible in the near future.

I just refer to the official press statements from ASUS in January. Do you have a trusted source that says Q2?

Guys I searched for this monitor. It appears that asus opened pre-order, and already they have terminated prenotation 😱

It's very impressive but if I wanted an amazing hdr experience I would buy an OLED TV. But sadly if you want a desktop hdr experience you need this display and because it has no competition they can charge 3k.

You would think smaller screen equals cheaper but it's not for some reason. Maybe it has to do with the mother glass?

Yes I’m searching and waiting for this Asus monitor. I was mesmerized by 2

pg27uq , and knowing this would be even better, I can’t wait.

I'm not sure you're quite understanding the purpose behind this display.  It's primarily aimed at the hyper-enthusiast gamer that can push 4K/144FPS.  It's unarguably the perfect form factor for a desktop 4K display: 32".  Much smaller and you're squinting.  Much larger and you're either staring only at the center of the screen, or you've got a super-deep desk that most of us don't have.

The HDR1400 doesn't hurt at all.

This isn't primarily for media consumption.  It's primarily for gaming.  If you want to game on a laggy OLED, 4' diagonal TV, have at it man.  But this guy has the GSync module (IOW it's all in hardware) along with the fast refresh, high resolution, and HDR.

The cost is the FALD, the HDR1400 cert, and of course the GSync hardware.
