should I be worried about my hdd?

I was trying to mount my hard drive inside of my fractal define 7 xl. I had to move the drive but when I took it out it slipped out of my hand and fell inside my case not on the floor. Should I be worried if something is damaged? its an 8TB western digital black drive.

If it wasn't spinning, it'll probably be okay.

 

On the other hand, always worry about hard drives. Trust nothing to store your data. Keep backups, off-site if possible.

My drives (they are older ones though) have been through like 30-40k power on hours and like 6 drops and they still work.

I could use some help with this!

It wasn’t spinning...I’m building a new pc so the drive is new
