Copyrights* As a Whole are FLAWED* or used as such

I want more knockoff companies that can produce more chip plus even more cheaper chips.

And I never said I won't buy them, the whole point I was trying to convey is that there should be more knockoff companies. So, dependence on a single company can be decreased and more competition be set up.

And to me, knockoff = similar type of company (sometimes smarter because they can give you 80%of results in 40% of the cost).

The problem here is initial costs. While it should cost less to set up on an older node, the R&D, machinery, factory space, workers, R&D(did say twice because it's a huge forgotten costs) still would make it astronomically expensive to get into that industry. Just like there's only a few companies producing silicon on different nodes, there's less manufacturers(if I had to guess) producing the specialized equipment to make the silicon. You can bet on them not being on the same tooling, if they even have it anymore. The equipment might actually end up being more expensive than when TSMC and Intel were requiring the equipment. It's not that this stuff is copyrighted(it is to an extent) that is causing the issues with more producers popping up in the CPU and GPU space.

After the initial costs and set up and R&D they also have the issue with consumers. How many people are going to go out and actively look for something that isn't Intel or AMD. Look at how many people only buy Intel and refuse to buy AMD or buy AMD and refuse Intel when the other might make more sense in the current space.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Well if a Company or Startup wanted to get in the business, they could buy an older FAB or the older equipment from a FAB that has upgraded to new Nodes.
