Linus has said in multiple videos that they take the PC's back apart, because they need those parts for projects, testing and more.

If this is your way of asking for a free computer from Linus then I'm sorry to disappoint you, but you won't get one. They don't keep every computer they build. They usually tear them back down to use the parts again.

linus what do you do with your pcs from your videos if you still have them i think you should give  them to your fans

They don't just have all those parts laying around. (They do have a warehouse, but that hold everything for all videos.)

Sometimes they do builds for clients, their own staff or others. Linus has said many times that if you ask for a PC, you wont get one.

any pc build they do for a video essentially gets dissassembled right after they finish shooting.

they dont have "douzens of RTX 3080's" for every video where they shove one in a system, they just have a library of parts, the writer picks and chooses parts, they make the video, and the parts go back to the warehouse.

any prebuilt usually finds some sort of purpose at the office.

any laptops they get are either loaner units, find some use at the office (for example in livestreams they do end up using 3 or 4 laptops for all the staff involved), or go in storage for when they need them for comparing to a new release.

in essence, for any piece of computing hardware they have, it's either used internally, or kept in storage for when they need it for future content. for example if a new GPU launches, they *need* to have older GPU's on the shelf to compare the new one to.

This has been answered by Linus (and other youtubers) before. For example:

Also from LMG FAQ:

Quote

Can you build me a computer?

Unfortunately, we aren't a system integrator so we won’t be able to help with a request to build a system. If you are interested in buying a pre-built check out our PC Secret Shopper Series to see our experience with some of the popular system integrators!

Can I buy old hardware from you?

We are unable to accommodate selling items to you directly, but we sometimes list stuff on eBay and the occasional odd item on lttstore.com. Computer parts and other gear is often kept on hand for a long time to ensure that we can compare it against new technology, so it’s not often that we get rid of older generation parts since they’ll be used on a regular basis for years.
