It is never 100% even if it was on QVL. High performance ram does bring with it a higher chance it doesn't work. I can say I have used Kingston 4000C18 ram with 8086k, so similar generation, but it will vary depending on ram, mobo, CPU samples. Worst case you might have to run the ram a bit slower. I actually found the Kingston I have actually runs better at 3600 than at 4000.

hey guys .

right now i can buy F4-4000C15D-16GVK which is a  g.skill ripjaws 2x8 GB 4000MHz CL15 kit for 175$ ! wanted to know if it will work with my z370 A PRiME ? it is not listed in the qvl

my cpu is a 8700k
