We could eliminate 95% of shit posts by requiring a CoC test

Yes, we've been talking about introducing something like that. Something similar to

a captcha, but instead of deciphering squiggly words you'd be required to fill out a

quiz on the CoC every 10 posts or so, and if you fail, your posting priviledges will be

removed for four hours. If you've failed five times, you get a week's ban, after having

failed 10 times => permaban.

CoC is CoC, not common sense.

Very true. And if we start to be more restrictive, we're gonna have our hands

full and will require a few dozen more mods. :D

But yeah, being too lazy to read stickies, search the forum for previous posts

is in most cases not a punishable offense, it would just leat to too many issues

(and work).

What? It's pretty self-explanatory (plus, it kinda makes sense). :D

Oh... no

That would be so super annoying, wouldn't it? The only way to make it worse

would be to start having pop-ups for things we want the users to read (like

once per week you get a popup with the CoC and for 10 minutes after it has

popped up you won't be able to post). I wonder how quickly we'd depopulate

the forum with that approach... Slick's PM inbox would explode from all the

complaints. :D
