How to mount standard ATX power supply in a non standard case?

FabledStorm

I recently bought a HP EliteDesk 800 G1 as a cheap replacement pc and the power supply almost immediately failed. I bought a new standard atx power supply as a replacement only to find out that the motherboard uses a proprietary power connection (6 pin) So i bought an adapter, no big deal right? Well as I go to mount the power supply to the case I ran into a second issue, the screw holes don't line up! For now I just have the case on it's side but it's taking precious desk space from me. So how do I mount the psu to the case? Are there mounting brackets I can buy?

Probably not ... maybe something do-it-yourself on stores like etsy or modding websites.

It doesn't have to be screwed... you could probably manage with some double sided adhesive tape or... just cutting some holes in the bottom of the case for the 4 screws , ventilation and power cable

Sort off that is only possible if you have an anchor point and I don't really see any that would work in that case.

Do you have a MT or SFF Elitedesk 800 G1?

The HP psu is 12V only. Don't use a group regulated ATX psu for that because 12v goes out of spec if you only use it for 12v. The voltage on the 12v line is way to low. You need a psu with independent voltage regulation.
