Idk what to do

Alex_pap

So i made a pc parts System builder list and i need some help I put all the components inside And it had one problem Wich is this

The Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the Corsair RMi 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it.

And i honestly dont know wich powersuplie would be compatible with this If someone could assist me (Corsair Preferred

unless you're overclocking a ryzen 9 using liquid nitrogen, you don't need to plug in that extra 4-pin connector.

The RMI 750W has one 8 Pin EPS connection.

You could just move up to a 850W vers and it will have 2.

Wrong.

The MB will use both EPS connections if they are pulled in.

One can get away with using one depending, but it not recommended.

Using one can cause stability issues depending on what you are doing etc.

And it costs less than the RMI.

Well depending on what you are doing with the system and what the actual specs are.

HIGH END CPU and GPU and overclocking it's really best to use both connections on the MB.

Not using them was started by those who under recommend PSUs and those who coddle budget buyers.

That whole 550W PSU is good for anything BS. 🙄

So people started telling people not to plug power connections in. 🙄

And it stuck. 🙄

The motherboard will actually use BOTH connections.

MY motherboards spread the load evenly across both EPS Connections.

You are fine with the RM750X if you get that.

No problem.

I have no idea why the RMI doesn't have 2X EPS connections, it's a good quality 750W PSU, it really should, but it doesn't for some odd reason. 🤔

The RMX would be the better choice.

but that still doesn't mean that having only 1 connector is wrong. the mb can draw 235w through 1 8pin eps connector, and no ryzen cpu draws more than 200W when overclocked under air or water cooling.
