I don't watch a lot of movies but pirate of the Caribbean movies are pretty nice, especially the last one iirc.

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is hilarious. Probably Jim Carrey's best comedy performance in my opinion. But really any movie he stars in is good (and most of them are comedies). Shazam is also a fun superhero comedy movie that I enjoyed watching way more than I thought I would.

Do you want intelligent comedy, or low-brow slapstick?

If it's the former check out

A Fish Called Wanda.

If we're pulling out the Bill Cosby card that opens a slew of suggestions.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

The Accused

The Kite Runner

Precious

A Clockwork Orange

etc.

Anyway, comedy movies. I like older ones better as they had more actual humor and wit.

Mel Brooks has a lot of classics, Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Producers (The original) etc.

Edgar Wright and the Cornetto Trilogy are pretty decent if you like British wit.

The Marx Brothers films.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

National Lampoons Vacation/Christmas Vacation. Vegas and Europe weren't very good.

Animal House

Black Dynamite

The Blues Brothers

Caddyshack

Captain Ron

Cheech and Chong if your into stoner stuff that's actually funny.

Cool Runnings, which is just a good movie in general.

Ferris Buellers Day Off. It's depressing how many people haven't seen it while it's still hugely influential.

Galaxy Quest, rated one of the best Star Trek films, despite not being Star Trek.

Groundhog Day

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

Kelly's Heroes

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Murder by Death

The Naked Gun, 2 1/2, 33, 1/3

Office Space

Overboard (The original)

Raising Arizona Nick Cage's best role.

Rango

The Ringer

Rocketman

Shanghai Noon

Support Your Local Sherriff

Surf's Up

Uncle Buck

Waiting...
