GTX 1070 selling for £300+?

How comes the 1070 went from £200 to £300+ on ebay? i listed mine for £250 and i got a bunch of offers, what happened

Pc value: 9999999$. Alienware 15 r2: 16GB Ram ddr3, Intel Core i-7 4110HQ @ 3.5ghz, gtx 970m, 1 TB HDD *for games*, 120GB SSD *for windows*.

i've only got an alienware 15 r2 so theres gonna be huge bottlenecks, not only that i live in uk so no where to even buy GPU's

i saw the same 5600xt i have going on ebay for $450 ,the shortage is real...

Ethereum coins are $1100 right now and 8GB cards are in high demand for mining them. God damn fucking crypto screwing the gpu market up again.

Good news for me, as I'm about to sell my Asus Strix 1070ti on ebay as soon as my Zotac twin edge 3070 comes in. I spent $450 on my 1070 ti new, and it looks like I wont be taking too much of a hit when I resell it.
