even a 30$ cooler liek hyper 212v black edition would be enough. aio is overkill. even dark rock pro 4 would be a total overkill.

So I was planning a build and I want the 4000x case, so should I:

1. Get a 360mm aio, front mounted, and the case fans for output (balanced)

2. Get a 280mm, top mounted, and keep case fans (positive pressure)

I'll be cooling a 5600x

any help is appreciated

Or get a case with good airflow and use a 30€ tower for same temps.

does it have bad airflow?

Its not horrible if you plan to use a low wattage gpu. But throw in a 350W 3080 and itll run much louder than it would in a case with good airflow.

it was either a 3070 or a 6800, what about the 4000d airflow, stacks well in GN's ranking

ok thanks, the should I get a 360mm front mounted, and the two fans in the case for exhaust? or the secon option

never fortn mount an AIO. it will make cpu temps lower but gpu temps higher. since you have only 5600x you should use top mounted. and since you have 3080 is is much better to have top mounted aio.

but I do seek some aesthetics, that's why I picked the 4000x in the first place, but thanks anyways

280mm is also overkill, though 240mm starts becoming less cost effective when you consider price to performance over a standard tower cooler.
