Is There a Way to Watch My TV on My Tablet Wirelessly?

Hi,

I have cable subscription but I don't have smart TV. It's HDTV with HDMI ports and USB port.

I want to watch it on my Samsung tablet and also be able to change channels.

Is there a way to accomplish this? If yes, what are my options?

Thanks.

Wait you want to watch whats on the TV on your tablet? Or do you just want to watch the cable sub on your tablet?

Some cable subscriptions come with an app/have a website you can log in to to watch on mobile devices.

Yes. Your cable provider might have a set-top box that offers live viewing, or even an app that offers live streaming once you verify that you're a subscriber.

If not that, there are DVR-style devices that offer live viewing, although they're usually aimed at cord cutters who only watch over-the-air broadcasts.

The easy way is to use a network TV tuner and something like Plex. However, if you're located in the US, the FCC has removed the rules requiring cable providers to support cable cards. So companies that make network TV tuners like Silicone Dust have started discontinuing products that use the cable card standard.

I watch Live TV via Plex on many of my devices. But I use OTA TV.

As mentioned above maybe an app exists for your provider, but who knows.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
