Christmas upgrades on a budget

Heya, so I was somewhat disappointed in my system's performance in VR, so I was wondering if there's a bottleneck anywhere, or something that needs to be upgraded. Current PC is running an RX 570X 8GB overclocked to 1400MHz, and an i3-9100F with 16GB of 2400 speed RAM.

 

 

Was considering buying maybe a GTX 1060 6GB or an i5-9400F if I were to try and upgrade. What are some of your thoughts? Is an i5-9400F a big jump over the i3-9100F? Likewise with the 1060 vs the RX 570?

No, a 9400F isn't a justifiable upgrade over a 9100F. I would try to find a 9900T if you have an H310 motherboard, and maybe a used 9700/9700k if you have something better.

 

A GTX 1060 might actually be slower than an RX 570 now.
