NZXT Hue 2 (Underglow LED Strips) doesn't turn on

I have an H510 Elite case with a pre-installed LED strip. I also bought the NZXT Hue 2 and used the NZXT cable breakout (extension) to connect it with the LED Strip.

The LED strip works perfectly fine and it's being detected by the CAM software (all 10 LEDs), but the Hue 2 doesn't turn on nor is being detected by the CAM software.

I am not sure if the NZXT Hue 2 is defect or I messed up the cabling. Any ideas?
