The corsair RMx 2018 (white) is gold colored in this list wich means:

Gold - best units in the tier (includes requirements for blue color in tier A)

but it says (white behind it) so this might be a dumb question but is the white version only better than the normal colored RMx's? or are all the 2018 RMx's GOLD tier

It's basically the same thing, it's just colored white

There have been several revisions of the rmx series and the latest ones have white label

Old ones were yellow I think

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I'm not too familiar with PSU, but it should still be the same tier if it's 2018 version

Yes, the CP-9020179-EU vendor code points to the 2018 version.

The RMx 2018 is in gold because it is an improvement over the 2015 version.

There is a regular black-colored version, and a 'White Edition' of that PSU, so it applies to both....hence the (White).

How so?

The "old" RMx was engineered by Corsair and is "overbuilt".  The "new" (2018) is leveraging a CWT platform with some tweaks that help the performance match that of the old version.

For the white versions:  The "old" White RMx has individually sleeved cables like the kind you buy aftermarket.  The "new" White RMx has just white sleeves over white wires and includes white "flat" cables.
