Is 650 Watts going to be enough for this combination?

monyy47

I want to get a 3070 as an upgrade to my RX 580, but I only have a 650 Watt power supply and I was wondering if that is going to be an issue due to the 650 Watt minimum for the 3070. PCPartPicker says that the estimated wattage for my system with the 3070 would be 414 Watts (add 3-15 Watts for the 3 extra fans that came with the P400A)

May wanna not get those fans lot of money for what are basically generic chinese rgb fans that can be bought from other brands that just put their sticker on it for 3 for 20$ including controller.

A GOOD 650w psu should do you nicely. No idea what your budget is tho so can't recommend anything.

I already have this system apart from the 3070 (and the fans are from cougar which is a very popular brand in my country, due to the fact that we dont have brands like g skill and a lot of the famous ones)

What is the budget for the psu? I was talking about generic fans like aigo, diypc,... the usual same fans as the cougars just cheaper

its enough by far. Your system probably pulls 400 max 450watts at the wall.

It is going to pull that amount with the 3070 or my current RX 580?

The Recommendation for the 3070 is 650W so should be fine. Have you already bought all of these parts?
