Do i need a new mobo for a 5900x?

I am soon gonna get a 5900x but i have a b450 tomahawk max and i dont know if i need to upgrade it or not. im not gonna oc the cpu but i also dont want to miss out on extra performance because i have an old b450 mobo unlike the newer x570/b550 mobos

With the most recent BIOS it is updated to AGESA 1.1.0.0, which makes it Zen3 compatible.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

wait so its compatible right now? wasnt it supposed to be compatible on january?

they've changed their minds. most of the b450 boards released bioses mid-november that support the 5000 series.
