I think i might be bottlenecked

Draysh

Hi.

I just recieved my rtx 3070 and replaced my 1070ti.

My current specs are:

ryzen 5 2600x

16 gb 2666mhz ram

rtx 3070

Intel 660p nvme ssd

For some reason WoW only runs at 50 fps and does not seem to utilize my pc even if there is perfomance left to use.

Am i being bottlenecked or what is going on?

I included an image of my joblist so you can see the percantages of each parts usage.

Thanks in advance :)

Yeah that's what i thought as well.

I guess the only way to find out is to upgrade my ram and see what happens.

Go for 3200mhz. Zen+ doesn't really benefit from 3200+

geometry is hard
b550 > x570

just make sure you check was ram speed your motherboard can support up to

Curious as to why WOW only use 0,1% GPU while 14% is being used. You seem to have something else using resources which can be the cause.

That would be nvidia container using 13.3 and my desktop using 11.3 i guess.

Hmmm.. I would try turning off overlay inside Geforce Experience and see how the game runs.

Just tried that and i believe the issue persists, however i'm unable to check my fps without the nvidia overlay.

WOW should have that built in but I don't remember how... Try the below?

Players can find fps in WoW By heading to the “Toggle Framerate Display” command, present under the miscellaneous tab. It is a key of the bindings menu, and it is assigned by pressing ctrl + R keys by default.

Ok, I don't think RAM speed is the issue here as long you're in dual channel. You are however using 77% of your 16GB so there may still be something in the background..

Turn on your FPS counter (wow or experience doesn't matter) Do you have Vsync or similar enabled? Turn it off and open Nvidia Control Panel and make sure:

Go to manage 3D settings and look in Program settings tab for World of Warcraft in the drop box. If you can find wow there change vertical sync setting to either off or use program setting

If you cant find WOW in the list make sure the setting is set accordingly in global settings tab.

See if your fps increased in the game, (may have to restart wow).
