Yet there is still people saying that they will save money in a long run when they get a console instead of a cheap gaming PC... ugh.

Even at full prices the PC ends up being quite a bit cheaper. PC games are mostly £30-35 on release day and Xbox games are more like £60. So while a decent gaming PC that exceeds a console is probably +£300, after just 10 games they are evenly priced.

Its like the difference in fuel costs for cars. Most reasonably priced cars can be justified, even cheaper, despite higher capital costs if you take into account more efficient fuel costs. It costs 10p to go 80 miles in a modern electric car and I bet that pays back pretty soon as well. But unlike cars a PC outperforms a console in every way, is capable of all the same activities and in the same way if wanted. Only gamers that play very few games, is <10 financially benefit from a console. Considering the other drawbacks the only thing that makes it worth it is exclusives, and they are there because of monopolies.

I'm going to be completely honest the only pc game that appeals to be is dayz, most games I play are console exclusive or superior on that platform

720p upscaled to 1080p master race?

Would be interested in reading the names of these "Superior" games.

Sonic Generations

MassEffect 3

Dark Souls

Sonic 4 1/2

How exactly are they "Superior"?

And all of those games are on PC also. in fact a couple of them have graphics mods available and playable at 4k.

Some pc games are piss poor ports of consoles game :/

But they're still better on PC.

Sonic Generation runs at 1080p-4K/60-120FPS on PC it doesn't on console.

I played Mass Effect 3 in 4k with texture mods and was still able to get 60Fps.

Console version runs at 720p/30Fps.

I've never seen a game that was better on console than it was on PC, even with crappy PC ports.

Console port means we get what consoles get gameplay wise, so it means they are the same

However,. PC can do higher resolutions and we can jack up the visuals with the GPU software and SweetFX.

No Keyboard and Mouse support? No problem.   PC has better controllers then the consoles could even dream about.

Steelseries, Razer, Logitech...... there are a ton of controllers we can buy.... AND we can use the ones from Xbox and PS.

Consoles are stuck at 720 upscaled to 1080 and a framerate cap of 30fps.

A PC can run even the shittiest of shitty console ports at 4k.

There is nothing superior about consoles or their games

for every console exclusive I can show you a PC game thats the same or better and most likely FREE.

Don't really need an identical list, anyone can look that up on Amazon. Battle field 4 is £23.46, both the next gen consoles are £42. You'll see the same pattern with prices on any game that appears on all the platforms, its nearly twice the price for the game on a console. Its that way because the cost of the console is recovered by the sales of the games. Heck even the xbox360 Battlefield 4 is £32.98 right now despite the platforms obsolescence. It completely ignores sales which further reduce the PC price but you don't need sales to see a dramatic reduction in price.

I do agree that pc games are cheaper than console's but if you go and take prices of PC games in bundles and sale at least take the price of used games sale in the console market into account. Also you have to add in those comparison the fact that most of those console games can be sold back for some money (either at a game retailer for a lot less or by yourself online)

NZXT Phantom 410 Gunmetal | Asus Z87-A (don't ask why I have a Z mobo with a non k cpu, have my reasons)| Intel Core i7 4770 | XGIMATEK Dark Knight II| 8GB Corsair Vengeance | 120GB SKHynix | 2tb WD Green | Gigabyte GTX 770 OC | OCZ 750W ZT | Logitech DiNovo Edge | Logitech G602

Lets me correct you there the moment sonic generations goes over 60 the engine freaks out

I play my 360/One in bed as my gaming rig is on the other side of my room and when I am done I can switch over to YouTube or Netflix with just a phrase and boom I can watch something as I fall asleep quickly and efficiently. In terms of games I bought Titanfall for the One as my friends play it and I like the style and pace of that type of game on the console.

Certain styles I prefer on consoles. Fast paced shooters, platformers, racing, and RPGs that I don't care about modding. Does it mean I don't use my PC? No. I play CivV, Skyrim, BF4, etc. Its just that some games I don't want to be at my desk playing. Yes I know there is steam in home and so forth but do I want to bother with going through all that and not being able to play with some of my friends? Consoles have a place in my gaming life.

A great game will be great at 720 as it will be in 4k. With or without mods. Being a gamer is about enjoying great games the way that you want to enjoy it.
