My GPU doesn't draw advertised power!

Hi,

I have Gigabyte Rtx 2080 super gaming OC which should draw around 250 watts but mine only draw around 210 watts although running at 100% usage, 1950mhz core and 8900mhz memory, my PSU is seasonic focus FM 650 watts

thanks,

What's the problem? Clocks look fine when that's without any manual OC applied. More power doesn't mean more good.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

That is not a problem. In your case more watts does not mean more performance it just means more heat.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

The rated power is a maximum limit. It doesn't mean you'll always be running at maximum power consumption even when the whole GPU is in use. It will only use what it needs. If you tried a different more complicated load, you might see it hit the power limiter.

This is the first time I've seen someone complaining about their card not drawing even more power!

The wattage power set for the GPU is at 100% load, or heavy load, if its only 50W less in real world application it'll be fine.
