Task Manager does not show full amount of Cores available. Please Help

Hi all, I've attached photos of my device manager - which shows I have 8 Processors (Yes I know it's 4 cores - 8 threads), but my Task manager shows my CPU cores as 2 and Logical processors as 4, shouldn't this be 4 cores - 8 threads? Does this mean my PC is only using the 2 out of the 8 that are shown in Device manager? Sorry for stupid question but it's been rattling my brain for weeks...
Cheers :)

You'd have to check a benchmark, for example cinebench and compare to the expected score of your CPU. Could be that for some reason 2 cores are disabled. If they are, try to clear CMOS.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Open up msconfig, click on the Boot tab and then press the Advanced options... button

Make sure Number of processors is not checked. Press OK and then reboot so Windows can find all of your CPU.
