Good price for used 2070 super

So I gave up in my plans on 4K upgrades and looking for a 2070 in hopes of getting a good price and saving some money from buying s 3070

I’m worried personally about storage latency issues.  It’s not impossible atm given my current understanding of new games design that anything x0xx may have crippling problems with new game designs.

Doesn't that cover all the Nvidia cards then?  2070, 2080, 2080Ti, 3070, 3080, 3090, etc?

Yup. 30xx has a better possible shot.  Still not 100%.  Neither does AMD’s 6xxx stuff, the 30xx has some stuff that could help if it gets used.  I dunno what the 6xxx might have.  I personally am not going to buy jack until I see what the consoles are packing.  If nothing works there isn’t going to be a machine that plays new games, if the 30xx and/or the 6xxx work but nothing else a 2080ti isnt going to have much more value than a used 470 right now.  If everything works a 2070s is going to be right on to a 3060.

So what exactly is the issue you're worried about tho?  New games not being able to access new GPU's quick enough?

Possibly.  It’s a weird unknown and I don’t like weird unknowns.  Part of what makes it unpredictable is it’s not impossible that someone may just come up with some software thing and poof it’s a non problem, or game devs may decide that they want to sell to people with old cards and design their game that way in which case poof it’s a non problem again.

So you're worrying over something that may or may not exist, with a fix that may or may not be easy?
