Mixing Valve Application for PC Cooling?

Are there any applications of having a mixing valve (kind of like what you have in a shower system) for PC water cooling? I'm trying to think of an application of a mixing valve, but can't think of one for PC water cooling.

Clearly a solution looking for a problem. Since a PC loop is a closed loop, there is no scope for two separate entities that need to be mixed. Even if there were two sources, the only thing you normally want to "mix" is the temperature, and so a heat exchanger is what is required.
