i'm in the processes of building a discord bot that gives techtips to those who ask it.

so i need techtips, lots of em...

it can be anything tech related, from stupid things all the way to actually useful things

i can't host the bot publicly right now but when i have a chance i will host it using a discord bot hosting service where users can submit the techtips themselves and allow you guys to add it to your own discord servers.

thanks guys.

Dont use amd high end gaming builds and even though the 5600x is better  than the i9 10900k, it is like comparing the 3070 and the 2080ti

Ok laptops can not be better than a pc for example for this one

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/razer-blade-15-base-15-6-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060-512gb-ssd-black/6409400.p?skuId=6409400&ref=212&loc=1&ref=212&loc=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw28T8BRDbARIsAEOMBcz1PmIYx2d81pEMYoTuBzPv9ZM8WD5DUuGrWr8sEcyLlX5ouGHZJr0aAlOUEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

IT would SOOOO much cheaper to build a pc

Make sure to read the box/ document for what your buying, some people sugar coat the specs to make you buy it. (Not literally but you get what I mean.) Also do research on the product you want to buy! This is a must if you want to buy a product, you could buy the thing you want, but you later on figure out there are thousands of things better than it. Please research :)

Ok here are a few tech tips I thought of

  1. System32 is not a virus
  2. Linux is a kernel, not an OS
  3. You can not download more ram
  4. Chromium is not a virus
  5. The new Microsoft Edge is based on chromium meaning that you can use chrome extension with it
  6. You can use Skype and the Office suite online (except from publisher) without downloading the app
  7. You can get a custom wallpaper on Windows 10 without activation just by right clicking on an image and selecting "set as desktop background"
  8. Linux can be used by computer novices (Just make sure to use a distro like Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Deepin or Manjaro to preserve user friendliness)

My Laptop: A MacBook Air

My Desktop: Don’t have one

My Phone: An Honor 8s (although I don’t recommend it)

My Favourite OS: Linux

My Console: A Regular PS4

My Tablet: A Huawei Mediapad m5

It's better to ask a friend or the internet for help than to kill your parts

Airflow is more important than aesthetics

Don't worry about going cheap on the case, you will most likely not need all the bells and whistles that come with a more expensive one,

Buy used when the next generation of parts is on the horizon

Don't cheap out on your power supply, at the same time don't go too expensive. Make certain to strike a balance.

Base you build on what you do, not what your friends are doing.

Don't expect to get all your answers from a forum, put in your own legwork first.

Turning it off and on again fixes 90% of problems, a liberal application of DuckDuckGo can solve the rest.

Prebuilts are a good start to PC gaming, and can act as a good foundation to upgrade from. Bear in mind this varies between brand and you'll have to do your research.

PC parts should not be an impulse purchase regardless of the price.

The dustier your PC the more it'll hate you. A clean PC is a happy PC, a happy PC is a fast PC.

  1. most work can be done with a single ph2 screwdriver
  2. have at least two flash drives ready one for boot os and the other for programs
  3. zipties get a lot you will thank your self later
  4. get a pair of flush cutters to cut said ziptie (when you have to do matince you will not curse your self by a cut on a ziptie)
  5. get a tube of thermal paste
  6. 2.5in ssd don't need all the screws
  7. do a cross pattern when tightening down heat sinks this will prevent from over tightening one side

Optane memory maybe good for low latency access times, but you should still get an SSD, m.2, or hard drive. Also don't buy m.2's without dram  cashes, it literally defeats the soul purpose of an m.2. (unless your on a super tight budget) :)

Also don't download, Minecraft FREEEEEE Download VIRUS FREE, ANTI VIRUS INCLUDED!!!!!!!!!!! because that download could lead to dis. (Now I know I made this look like a joke but it isn't, millions of people get infected by these types of viruses every year,*I think* the moral of the story is be careful with what you click and download, please have common sense.)

*Always backup your data, especially if you've got a consumer grade Seagate

*Stock thermal paste is only good for low power parts

*Get an SSD at least as a boot drive, make sure it's not DRAMless

*No gaming PC has an excuse to run loud

lumpy chunks

There is no spoon.

Windows 10 screenshot tool is [Win] + [Shift] + S

When you get stuck with multiple monitor setups, it's [Win] + P
