lets talk about cherry

Ilikekeyboards

Cherry switches? Most keyboards use them and they have good quality atleast the keyboards from the common brands steelseries, corsair, logitech, older razer keyboards

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

why does everyone worship them?

Because they are likely the first manufacturer people are exposed to and arguably the most well-known one too, considering their affiliations with most large brands out there.

This video shows a good idea of why they aren't the best in every category out there:

But of course most people won't try different options of keyswitches, they will get something and that's it, meaning the likelihood of people having a cherry mechanical board over something else is high and of course that is where confirmation- and choice-supportive bias play a role in keeping Cherry in people's mind as "the best".

Plus, they are seen as the "golden standard", maybe not necessarily because of them having the highest quality, but because they are someone to compare the other options against.

I've tried to like cherry brown ... and tried again .. but there's not way I could like them after trying ... well mostly anything else I tried I like more ...

I can't say about cherry red switches cause I've never bothered to try them ... cherry red, I have my gateron yellow if I want a linear.

Agreed on browns - cherry browns are the worst tactile switches imo.

Blues are good and I like the sound.

I don‘t like lineare, but I doubt that the difference to other brands is as stark as it is for tactile switches. Even with clicky switches the difference is noticeable but not as shocking compared to tactile.

I've tried 2 sets of blue, outemu and cherry and both are awful to me ... cherry being a bit better in sound and less clunky, but still awful ... I got some kailh box white and those are really better than the blue I've tried.  I didn't like clicky before I tried the box white ... now I'm thinking about getting more clicky ... the kailh box navy will probably be my next purchase.  ... I think that the biggest difference is between those is the use of a click bar in the kailh box instead of the click jacket used in the blue switches.

Why? Everythink is nice beside of the fact that the shit Keyboard make double spaces when I push the Spacebar.

Well German Engineering is not everything. There (German) Support told me "Go hide and fuck your self!" just in a more polite way.
