Painting a Graphics Card: Yay or Nay?

Hello all!

I am getting my last PC parts this Wednesday (for my first build EVER!) and I was wondering, is there any way that we can paint a graphics card?
What I mean exactly by that is: would it be safe to paint the exterior part of a GPU (next to the cooling fans)? and if so, what kind of paint should I use and how should I do it?

I am getting an Asus GeForce GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 2GB so, would painting the GPU void the warranty of the card?

Lastly, for anybody wondering "Why the hell would you paint your card?!". Well, it is mostly for viewing pleasure and overall good looks, I am of course not going to paint it if it is unsafe to do so.

I will get the card this Wednesday, so I don't have the feel of the complete build yet, but my motherboard (and Asus Z87-K) is mostly black and gold, so I might try to color "shape" my system around these colors.

Thanks in advance!

Yes it would void the warranty (Most likely)

And it's just a plastic shroud near the fan. Use regular paint.

instead of painting the whole shroud gold, why dont you just paint the red strips of the DCUII shroud gold? would look very modest and not in your face

Yes, that was my idea :) thought I had precised that in the thread, sorry about that lol.
