did you enable xmp or just manually changed the ram frequency without touching anything else?

to get the ram at the correcct speed, you need to make sure they are in slots 2 and 4 (if your mobo has 4 slots) and enable xmp profile.

yes, it will boost automatically, you don't need to change anything in bios for that.

i did use "d.o.c.p" which is xmp i guess, and what about the vram change. literally anything i change even the fan speed, or even if i dont change anything and exit the bios from the "save and reset" thing my pc just shuts down. what do i do now.

so one of the bios changes you're making is causing some instability, that's why it shuts down and only works if you reset bios.

i'd advise reseting bios and start by making one change at a time, saving and seeing which is the change that causes the instability.

ok but as i said, even if i dont change anything just exiting my bios and not booting from hard drive just shuts it down. i can only boot into windows from the hard drive. i will try ur suggestion once again but pls tell me if theres anyhting else i can do.

Oof, I just posted in another thread about the same "issue" , I suppose... what a mess!

OP: just to be clear, if you run the PC at default settings, without changing anything in BIOS, it works and there are no shutdowns?

Also

- did you reset CMOS?

- and did you set XMP?

To be honest that's the *only* thing you should ever change in BIOS, and if that doesn't work either the mobo or the RAM are faulty / incompatible (imo)
