guys need help, as u know i play on an amd sempron 145 with geforce 7025 igpu, but i am collecting every single penny to  buy a gt 1030 gpu for my potato pc ( guess i have to go begging for some money soon) i am playing on my moms laptop until i have enough budget to afford one which has an integrated amd radeon r4 igpu, but i want more performance out of this thing!!!!!

It can only run csgo in 20fps or so at the lowest possible settings, but i think increasing my dedicated video memory can help me a little bit....

i watched many tutorials on youtube but all of them are fake!!!!!

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP MMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HOPE U GUYS CAN UNDERSTAND :(

You can't increase dedicated VRAM, its soldered onto the card/board. You can possibly increase shared VRAM if its a laptop but this will take RAM away from your system.

Also its very unlikely Linus will ever see your message, sometimes he does read the forum but its very infrequent.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

For that money i suggest getting a 4cores Athlon / Phenom ($15), add 8gb ram ($15).

For the GPU save $30 more to buy a used GTX1050 or RX560 (around $60)

check the supported cpu list and try to ebay one that represent an upgrade ... athlon II x4 or phenom II x4 can probably be found cheap

For the gpu check if you could find some cheap gt430, gt730, gt1030, gtx 750ti, gtx 950, gtx 1050, gtx 1050ti ... they are mentionned in order from about the weakest to most powerful, they are all low power gpu that can run from the pcie slot power ... careful with the gtx tho cause some do have a pcie connector so be sure that the about to explode 450W psu have the proper connector.

you could also upgrade the ram from 4gb to 8gb ... 2x4 gb ddr3 1600 cl 9-9-9-24 should be cheap too ... the board support max 8gb anyway.

get the best 2nd hand GPU with your money.

save again.

get some more ram

save again

max the CPU.

Shame money is so tight because this upgrade path is slow and is buying properly end of life components with no resale value.

But this is the way to make the most out of what you have with what you can afford.
